    • A potential trade involving Peterson would...

A potential trade involving Peterson would likely need to happen by Saturday, Yahoo! Sports reports.

Analysis: The Vikings have made it clear that they want to keep Peterson around, even though the running back's agent said his client wants to play elsewhere. While the team might be persuaded by a high selection in the upcoming draft, the Vikings are unlikely to settle for a future pick, as they have enough talent on the roster to make a run at Teddy Bridgewater's first playoff appearance in 2015. There are still a few different ways this saga could end, but if Peterson isn't traded by the end of the draft's second day, he'll likely stay on the Vikings.

    • Wilson is a candidate to start...

Wilson is a candidate to start at outside wideout for the Chiefs opposite newcomer Jeremy Maclin, the Kansas City Star reports.

Analysis: While the Chiefs could well add competition at the position in the upcoming NFL draft, with Dwayne Bowe no longer in the mix, and Jason Avant a candidate to work out of the slot, Wilson figures to have an opportunity this coming season to build off the late-season promise he displayed in 2014. The 5-9, 200-pound Wilson finished the campaign with 16 catches for 260 yards in 12 games overall, but 12 of his grabs came during a three-game span, between Week 14 and 16.

Jordan has not shown up to the Dolphins off-season conditioning program, according to the Miami Herald.

Analysis: Jordan has been a disappointment pretty much from day one in Miami and not showing up for these voluntary workouts certainly won't go unnoticed. Jordan may not be long for Miami if his attitude and play doesn't change.

    • The Panthers have exercised the fifth-year...

The Panthers have exercised the fifth-year option on Kuechly for the 2016 season, the team's official site reports.

Analysis: Since he was selected ninth overall in the 2012 NFL Draft, Kuechly's production has wildly surpassed expectations, with three 150-plus tackle seasons under his belt. Among his honors along the way are Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2012, Defensive Player of the Year in 2013, and Pro Bowl bids in 2013 and 2014. Upon completion of the upcoming campaign, the Panthers will have the ability to negotiate an extension with the middle linebacker. However, if potential negotiations didn't go as expected, they can rest knowing that Kuechly is tied to the organization through the completion of the 2016 season.

    • Polk's restricted free agent tender offer...

Polk's restricted free agent tender offer from the Eagles has been rescinded by the team, CSN Philadelphia reports.

Analysis: Polk's rescinded offer comes as another surprise from the Eagles' front office. Following some injury woes last season, Polk rushed for 44 yards and three touchdowns on nine carries over two of Philadelphia's final three regular season games. Nonetheless, that late momentum apparently wasn't enough to keep Polk's tender offer on the table, so now the running back will be free to sign with any other team ahead of the upcoming campaign.
